In the distant future, a starship hurtles through the void � its mission � to reach and explore the Tau Ceti system. But along the way, something goes terribly wrong. Alien slave traders board the starship Marathon and it's up to you, a lone security officer to save the ship.
The game featured things we take for granted these days, but when Marathon was released they were ground breaking elements, including non-orthogonal spaces, allowing the designers to create rooms in any shape they wished. Texture-mapped 3D graphics, realistic stereo sound and a compelling storyline all contributed to Marathon's legendary status in the gaming community.
